Having a break

Enjoying a few days away in sunny Shropshire.  Spent the day in Shrewsbury and took loads of photos - I'll download them and add to this post when I get home.  Finally caught up with some much needed sleep too.  The fridge is well-stocked so Clive won't starve!

Here we go again

I'm soooooooooo fed up with this rollercoaster ride.  Utter despair for 3 days and today we get a phone call to say we should hopefully exchange contracts on 15th September.

I'm reserving judgement and trying not to build my hopes up again but we could be on our way by the end of October if things go according to plan!  Watch this space .........

I do wish Clive hadn't driven past our buyers house on Saturday - there is a 'For Sale' sign outside (for the 3rd time?)  Tried to contact the agent to find out what's going on but no joy yet!  Haven't slept much since then and feeling dreadful.  Can't think of anything else and can't stop crying.

After nearly 3 months, we may have to put the house back on the market and start all over again.  I'm devastated!  We had the contracts signed, all searches and surveys done and were all ready to go too!

Ho Hum

Still waiting to exchange contracts but at least they have their mortgage agreed and all the searchs are complete.  Hopefully we'll have some dates soon and will be able to book the shippers and the flight!

Made a couple of nice Christmas cards at Crafts-U-Love and one more Tilda with my scraps - starting to pack stuff up properly so the production line has slowed down considerably.

Had rather a bad experience at the dentist on Wednesday when I had a severe reaction to the spray they use while drilling and redoing two very large back fillings.  It tasted like floor cleaner and left a harsh metallic taste in my mouth for 24 hours and I came up in ulcers.  My face is still rather swollen on one side but, after loads of warm salt water rinses, the sore patches are slowly going (just one right up inside my lip which makes it hard to smile)

The dentist has been phoning to check my progress and has refunded most of the charge - over £300!  so not all bad news.

Still waiting

Still waiting for news on the house sale - no idea when we are likely to complete - hope it's soon as the $ is up more than 10 cents (which equates to around $35,000!)  It could fall back just as quickly but the markets are so volatile at the moment I've no idea how much we'll have when we eventually move.

Sleep at last!

Three night's sleep in a row .... 9 hours and 2 x 7 hours!  Feeling human again.  Consequently no more cards to show you.  Starting to pack up my stuff ready for shipping so there won't be many more now.

Survey finally done on the house so hopefully things will start moving forward again.  The sun's shining, the temperature is like a typical summer's day in Adelaide and the £ has gained nearly 4 cents against the dollar  (each cent = £5000 on the amount we hope to have when we finally move)  Life is good ...... for now.

I need some sleep

Much as I love making these Tilda cards I'd much rather have 8 hours uninterrupted sleep.  Two good nights out of seven is giving me bags under the eyes and I'm struggling to do even basic things for much of the day!

Hygienist tomorrow, dentist Tuesday and blood tests for medical review on Thursday - another week to look forward to then!

Please can I get off this roller-coaster soon?  Hope I get a better night tonight - I've read all my library books and I'm fed up with the midnight to 3.00am craft shift!
