Anzac/Birthday weekend

With my birthday falling on the Anzac holiday weekend we had lots of events to choose to go to but couldn't fit them all in.

Saturday at Magarey Orchards in Coromandel Valley was a fun day out with free samples, great food and drink and rides around the orchard on the back of trucks and in a 1924 Ford.

Sunday was Greg's farewell followed by lunch for 350+ then on to Mitcham Brass band concert at Scotch College where they even played Happy Birthday for me.  Wish we could have fitted in the Garden Festival in Stirling as the autumn colours are spectacular at the moment but there were just not enough hours in the day!

GP duties

Had the girls to stay for 2 days and managed to cram in a whole load of fun activities

Nice to be up and about again

Been driving for a couple of day (get the all-clear from the surgeon later today) and feeling great.  Autumn is such a beautiful time and 5 days rain is welcome in our parched garden.  Managed to get all the washing done first luckily.  Had a trip to the city and walked round the gardens on South Terrace as the sun was going down.

Also had lunch and a walk round the Burnside shopping centre at the end of last week - nice to be out and about again
