Beautiful Barossa

Had a great few days away in the Barossa.  The weather was glorious, views - magnificent, winetasting - informative, local foods - tasty, (as always) and the whole experience - priceless.

Stayed in a small vineyard cottage at the foot of the Barossa Hills in Tununda and had some great meals at The Vine Inn in Nooriupta.  Fitted in at least 4 winetastings, a trip to Maggie Beer's with cookery demo and lunch, walked round the Sculpture Gardens on Mengler's Hill and visited several German cottages, townships and churches.

We travelled the scenic route via Lyndoch and Williamstown on the way there and Angaston, The Eden Valley and Piccadilly Valley on the way back.  The area really looks at its best in Springtime with all the flowers and so green everywhere.
